Sing and Save ! A Sham – e – Ghazal to preserve wetlands The Pakistan Wetlands Programme hosted a Sham-e-Ghazal with a performance by the legendary, internationally renowned singer Abida Parveen. Funds raised by the event will “Support the Sustainable Livelihoods of Wetlands Communities” by saving their environment. The event took place on May 5th, 2007 in the Crystal Ballroom at the Marriot Hotel, Islamabad. This event attracted participation by individuals from both the public and private sectors along with institutions and environmentally concerned organisation.
